I studied Medicine at St George’s Hospital, London, qualifying in 1997 with an MBBS. I then trained in and around London, spending a considerable amount of time in teaching hospitals, including St
Georges, Guys and St Thomas’ and Kings College London.
I became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2000, and a Consultant Hepatologist and Gastroenterologist in 2010. During my training, I spent 3 years working on the world renowned Liver Unit at King’s College Hospital, and was subsequently awarded a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) in 2012.
I am married and have three small children. When allowed by the aforementioned family, I am a keen cyclist and can be found around the hills of North Somerset or South Gloucestershire (albeit briefly) at the weekend.
